Terms & Conditions for Bateman’s Rescue Mobile Mechanic

Bateman’s Rescue Mobile Mechanic (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides mobile mechanic services throughout Deschutes County, Oregon. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services we provide. By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to provide accurate vehicle and contact information, ensure the service location is safe, legal, and accessible, secure pets, remove hazards, and be available during the appointment for communication. Customers must notify us of any known mechanical or safety-related issues. If conditions are unsafe, service may be refused, rescheduled, or discontinued at our discretion.

2. Estimates, Pricing, and Payment

2.1 Estimates

All estimates are based on information available at the time of booking or inspection. Final costs may change depending on diagnostic findings or additional issues discovered during service. We will communicate any pricing changes before continuing work.

2.2 Payment

Payment is due immediately upon completion of service.
Accepted payment methods: Cash and Venmo.

2.3 Parts Provided by Us

Parts provided by us include manufacturer warranties only. We do not extend, modify, or guarantee manufacturer warranties.

3. Aftermarket & Customer-Supplied Parts

3.1 Aftermarket Parts Disclaimer

If a part is not OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), we cannot guarantee performance, reliability, compatibility, longevity, or overall effectiveness. Using aftermarket, off-brand, or low-quality parts is 100% at the client’s own risk. We are not responsible for poor performance, early failure, or damage caused by aftermarket parts.

3.2 Customer-Supplied Parts

When customers supply their own parts:

  • No labor warranty applies
     
  • No parts warranty applies
     
  • Any additional labor required due to incorrect, defective, or incompatible parts will be billed normally
     
  • We are not responsible for fitment issues, performance problems, or failures caused by customer-supplied parts
     

4. Liability Disclaimer

We are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing mechanical issues
     
  • Rusted, corroded, brittle, or seized components
     
  • Prior improper repairs
     
  • Unsafe vehicle modifications
     
  • Hidden or intermittent problems not visible during service
     
  • Damage caused by customer-supplied or aftermarket parts
     
  • Failures unrelated to the service performed
     
  • Loss of income, towing fees, rental vehicle costs, or indirect damages
     

Our liability is strictly limited to the cost of the labor performed on the specific service appointment.

5. Warranty Policy

5.1 Labor Warranty

A limited labor warranty may be provided only when we supply the parts and the repair qualifies for coverage. Labor warranties do not apply when customer-supplied or aftermarket parts are used, or when failures occur due to unrelated vehicle issues.

5.2 Parts Warranty

All parts warranties are manufacturer-only. We do not provide additional warranty coverage beyond what the manufacturer offers.

6. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and No-Show Policy

6.1 Cancellations

Please cancel as early as possible. Same-day cancellations may result in a service call fee. Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in refusal of future service.

6.2 Rescheduling

Rescheduling is allowed at any time based on availability. Early notice is appreciated.

6.3 No-Show Policy

A no-show fee may apply if:

  • We arrive and cannot contact you
     
  • The vehicle is not accessible
     
  • Keys are unavailable
     
  • The environment is unsafe
     
  • You leave the location without notice
     

7. Booking Rules

Customers agree to:

  • Provide correct vehicle and contact details
     
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe, legal, accessible location
     
  • Understand arrival times may fall within a 30–60 minute window
     
  • Acknowledge that certain repairs may not be possible due to weather, location, or safety concerns
     

Unsafe or unsuitable conditions may lead to rescheduling or cancellation.

8. Right to Refuse Service

We may refuse or discontinue service if:

  • Conditions are unsafe
     
  • The vehicle is inaccessible
     
  • Severe corrosion or structural issues prevent safe repair
     
  • Specialized shop equipment (not mobile-friendly) is required
     
  • The customer engages in aggressive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior
     

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The newest version replaces all prior versions and becomes effective immediately upon posting.
